Natural stone has an appearance of elegance and sophistication as every stone piece has special coloring, veining and natural characteristics.

Marble:

Marble flooring usually has wavy veined patterns and is available in multiple colours. As a natural product, every marble tile is unique. Marble is considered one of the stronger materials than most flooring but requires certain specific routine maintenance to last.

Marble flooring reacts to most substances, have to clean any spills on marble flooring before it leaves permanent marks. Periodic sealing is required for optimal protection.

Granite:

Granite typically has pebbly or spotted colour patterns. Granite is harder than marble and travertine and resists scratches and cracking.

Granite needs regular maintenance to maintain its quality and shine, periodic sealing is required to protect and give its glossy shine back. Granite is more difficult to stain than other flooring options.

Travertine:

Travertine is a form of limestone which has marble-like texture and attractive earth-tone colours. Travertine is available in different types of finishes such as polished, honed, tumbled and brush (from glossy to rough texture).

As with natural stone, it’s required to apply to penetrate and surface barrier sealer to prevent staining. Travertine flooring is a more affordable option when it comes to natural stone flooring.

Quartz:

Quartz is a man-made stone composed of around 95% natural quartz. When combined with other material such as resin, it produces an array of patterns and colours.

Quartz requires very little up keeping and is a better option compared to materials that need to be sealed and checked on a regular basis. Quartz shares many benefits as natural stone as well as eliminating some of the cons.
